The Beilman Family Reunion - July 2-4, 2010
The Reunion was a success and the weather was great. Approximately 110 guests attended and all appeared to have a good time. Hopefully the next Beilman Family Reunion will be organized in 2015 and this time in Eastern Kansas.

Larry Beilman (Melvin's Son) died in Wichita. This was discovered today and the time of or date of death is not yet certain. Larry had some health problems that may have caused the death. (More to come)....

Leona Beilman, 88, Hays, died Monday, July 28, 2008, at Hays Good Samaritan Center.

1st Annual Beilman.com Random Album (CD) Cover Contest

Here is how the contest works. Over the next 3 months, you need to generate a Fake Album Cover, of a fake band using he following Criteria.

1) Generate a Fictional Band Name , by going to http://www.wikipedia.com, Click on "Random Article" in the left navigation pane and use the title of whatever entry pops up (it doesn't matter how odd).


2) Choose a Random Album Title - Go to http://www.quotationspage.com, Select Random quotes, then Go to the bottom and select all the collections", then select the New Random Quotations Button." Use the Last 4 words of the Quotation as your "Album Title".

3) Now choose your Album Cover. Go to http://www.flickr.com , chose explore, then "Most Interesting photos from the last 7 days". Choose any photo on that first page.

This may be the tricky part for those without photoshop or skills in MS Paint, but ...Try it anyway. Merge the elements from part 1,2 3 and generate an album cover.

Submit the Album cover into the Album Cover Contest Photo Gallery on this site, by uploading the photo. When the submissions are final, (May 1st). We will have an official Vote. Whoever wins, will get a prize valued at $25 from beilman.com.

You may submit as many as you want. If you have trouble uploading them, send them to me at shtuff at beilman dot com and I will upload them for you.

I have submitted one on the site as a sample. This will only be fun if you take an hour out of the next 3 months and give it a try.

A good friend of mine started his own business reviewing wine. Ken Hoggins is a wine expert who is often consulted for his knowledge of wine. He started a website that reviews wine.
